Ralph D. Seybert, age 87 of Marionville, Missouri, and formerly of Willmar, died Friday afternoon, November 27, at the Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 4, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Ralph Dean Seybert was born on March 17, 1928, in Syracuse, Nebraska, the son of Andrew and Della (Wright) Seybert. He grew up and received his education in Syracuse, Nebraska. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1946 and served in the Pacific. On November 10, 1948, Ralph was united in marriage to Lois C. Friede. They made their home in Nebraska City, Nebraska until 1967, when they moved to Willmar. Ralph began working at Willmar Poultry Company and then went to work at the Willmar Vo-Tech, retiring in 1990 as the head custodian. Since retirement, Ralph has enjoyed traveling with Lois and fishing with his family and friends. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and the Little Crow Anglers.
He is survived by one son, Michael (and Michelle) Seybert of Marionville, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer and Nathan and seven great grandchildren, Elly, Abby, Maxwell, Megan, Kaylin, Emilee, and Travis. Also surviving are two sisters, Lois Wiebusch of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Janice (and Dennis) Burbee of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; and two sisters-in-law, Eula Seybert of Lincoln, Nebraska and Evelyn Seybert of Nebraska City, Nebraska, besides other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lois on January 8, 2015; his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Carol; and two brothers, Andrew and Dale Seybert.
