Rebecca Parker

Rebecca "Becky" Parker, age 78, of Willmar, died Thursday evening, January 12, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, at Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar. Interment will be in the Spicer City Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, January 16, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Rebecca Jean (Fauchald) Parker was born September 10, 1938, in Willmar, Minnesota, the daughter of Melvin and Pherva (Anderson) Fauchald. She grew up and received her education in Willmar, graduating from Willmar High School. After graduation, she moved to Minneapolis to work for Northwestern Bank. She later moved back to Willmar and worked at Oman Supply.

On June 6, 1959, she was united in marriage to Robert Parker. They made their home in Willmar and three children were born to their marriage. Becky worked at the Bank of Willmar and later at the Willmar State Hospital.

Becky was a member of Vinje Lutheran Church. She enjoyed camping, traveling, embroidering, knitting, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband: Robert of Willmar, MN; three children: James (and Ilene) Parker of Willmar, MN, Harlan (and Becky) Parker of Fountain Hills, AZ, and Marie (and Steve) Eischen of Willmar, MN; grandchildren, Mike (and Beth) Parker of Rogers, MN, Erica (and Nick) Needham of  Bloomington, MN, Jeremy Parker of Willmar, MN, Jared Eischen of Moorhead, MN, and Jessica Eischen of St. Cloud, MN; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Phillip (and Jeanette) Fauchald of New London; and her nieces and nephews.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister and brother-in-law, Millie and Stan Jacobson.
