Richard K. Keehn, age 45, of New London, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 8, from injuries received in an automobile accident.
A celebration of Richard’s life will be from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 22, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. www.petersonbrothers.com
Richard Kevin Keehn was born on August 19, 1976, in Melrose, Minnesota, the son of Kenneth Keehn and Wanda Young. He grew up and received education in Willmar. He was raised by his step-fathers, LeRoy Vogt and Donald Bergstrom. After high school, Richard attended college and studied in the field of forestry and landscape agriculture. He has been employed in the construction business most of his life. Recently he was employed at Willmar Precast Company and O’Neil’s in Spicer as a line cook. Richard enjoyed art and was a talented tattoo artist. He also enjoyed card games and many outdoor activities like hiking, camping, kayaking and fishing.
He is survived by his children, Cheyeann (and Christopher) Nelson, Jamie Keehn, Jenna Keehn and Anthony Keehn; one sister, Wanda (and Roger) Moen; niece, Namira and nephew, Richard, besides other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda and his step-father, LeRoy Vogt.
