Richard Rand

Richard A. Rand, age 50, of Willmar, died Friday morning, April 10, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. Interment will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Two Rivers Cemetery in Kittson County.

Richard Allen Rand was born April 27, 1964, in Crookston, Minnesota, the son of Peter and Ruth (Carlson) Rand. He grew up and received his education in Crookston, graduated from Crookston High School in 1982. He then worked in construction and served in the Marine Corps Reserve. He later attended respiratory therapy training at East Grand Forks AVTI. He served his internship in Thief River Falls before beginning his respiratory therapy career in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He married Cheryl Harlow and they had one daughter, Anna. Richard moved to Willmar in 1998.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth Rand; two brothers, Bruce Rand and Scott (and Mary) Rand; a daughter, Anna Leigh Rand; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Peter Rand.
