Robert "Bob" L. Loeffler age 88, of Pennock, died Monday afternoon, June 3, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
A graveside service will be 10 A.M., Saturday, June 8, at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville, Minnesota. Military Honors will be provided by the C. Adams - R. Stierlen American Legion Post 311 of Elysian, Minnesota. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M., Friday, June 7, at Peteson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar, Minnesota.
Robert Lee Loeffler was born on March 14, 1925, in Mankato, Minnesota, the son of Andrew and Ellen (King) Loeffler. He grew up and received his education in St. Clair, graduating in 1943. Bob enlisted in the US Army and served in Europe during WW II. He returned to his home area and for over 10 years worked as a manager for Botsford Lumber Company in Mankato and St. Clair. On February 11, 1978 he was married to Shirley Ann Morris and they made their home in Willmar where Bob owned and operated an appliance repair service. After his retirement in 1990, they moved to Pennock where they have resided since. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and his morning coffee time with friends.
Bob is survived by his wife, Shirley of Pennock; four sons, Robert Loeffler of St. Clair, Richard Loeffler of Mankato, Ronald Loeffler of St. Clair and Randy (and Laurie) Loeffler of Waseca; two stepsons, Scott (and Lorie) Spear of Waseca, and Terry Spear of Germany; his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, James (and Rose) Loeffler of Eagle Lake, and John (and Patty) Loeffler of Janesville; and one sister, Monica Ahern of Mankato.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
