Robert N. Sandler, age 46, of Willmar, died unexpectedly Thursday, May 8, at his home.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, at First Covenant Church in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.
Robert Norman Sandler was born March 4, 1962 in Minneapolis, the son of Harry and Mary Elizabeth (Smith) Sandler. He grew up in the Minneapolis area and later moved to New London. In 2001, he moved to Willmar. He worked at various jobs in the Willmar area, including working at Target and the Blue Heron. He volunteered at the Goodwill. Robert was active with First Covenant Church, where he was involved in Children's Ministry. He was also an assistant in the summer outreach ministry, Fun in the Park, and also served in a role of set/up and take/down for the Wednesday night ministry, High Voltage. Robert was a LIFE Group leader, served as an usher, and was always willing to step in and help wherever needed at the church.
Robert is survived by his sister, Harriette (and Brad) Connor of New London; three nieces, Stephanie (and Nathan) VanDerBill of Litchfield; Angela (and Eric) Seever of San Jose, California, and Brittany Connor of Fargo, North Dakota; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
