Ronnie D. Clark, age 71, of Grove City, died Monday morning, Feb. 13, at his residence in Grove City.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at the Atwater United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Arrangements are with the Peterson Brothers Atwater Funeral Home. www.petersonbrothers.com
Ronnie Duane Clark was born on August 16, 1945, in Paynesville, Minnesota, the son of Leonard and Genevieve (Hunter) Clark. He grew up and received his education in the Paynesville community and then became engaged in farming, working for his uncles. On October 31, 1964, Ronnie was united in marriage to Margaret Renae Miller and they made their home in Grove City. Ronnie was employed as a bulk petroleum truck driver for Grove City Oil from 1965 to 1982 and then with Litchfield Oil Company from 1985 to 2008. He was a 17 year member of the Grove City Fire Department and a past Fire Chief. Ronnie had a passion for fishing and animals. He will be remembered for his ability to fix and repair anything, a "jack-of all trades".
He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; two sons, Todd Clark (and special friend, Goldie Smith) of Atwater and Tony (and Deb) Clark of Grove City; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Richard (and Lila) Clark of Watertown, SD., Roger "Bill" (and Terry) Clark of Willmar and Kevin Clark of New London, besides other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Judith Houdek; and two brothers, Daniel and Raymond Clark.
