Rosella M. Flygare, age 80, of Atwater, died Sunday morning, October 5, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

Funeral services will beheld at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Atwater. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Atwater. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Arrangements are with the Atwater Funeral Home.

Rosella Mae Flygare was born July 1, 1928 on the "Capitol Hill" family farm site near Atwater, Minnesota, the daughter of Clarence and Agnes (Anderson) Freeman. She was baptized at Tripolis Lutheran Church in Kandiyohi and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Atwater. She received her education in the District 35 School and her high school diploma from the Morris Ag School. On September 20, 1953, she married Roland V. Flygare at her parent's home in Atwater. They lived and farmed in Gennesse Township. Rosella resided at Bethesda Heritage Center Nursing Home in Willmar for the past 2 1/2 years. She was a current member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Atwater. She was her happiest when she was outdoors, where she enjoyed riding her 3-wheeler, caring for her animals and flowers and varmint hunting. She also enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles and being with her family and friends.

She is survived by four nephews, Cal (and Barb) Freeman of Atwater, Ron (and JoANn) Freeman of Ladysmith, Wisconsin, Russ (and Chris) Freeman of Oro Valley, Arizona, and Gary (and Judy) Freeman of White Bear Lake; one niece, Nancy (and David) Cole of Kingston Springs, Tennessee; several great-nieces and great-nephews; a great-great niece; a great-great nephew; a sister-in-law, Elsie Potter of Atwater and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roland in 1978; two brothers, Clifford and Kenneth; one sister-in-law, Inette; and a nephew, Greg Freeman.
