Samuel Stefanyszyn, age 67, of St. Cloud and formerly of Minneapolis and Pittsburg, PA., died Tuesday evening, March 22, at the St. Cloud V.A. Hospital.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 28, at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. (www.petersonbrothers.com)
Sam was born on October 16, 1948, in Achaffenburg, Germany, the son of William and Sophia (Meska) Stefanyszyn. He grew up and received his education in Pittsburg, PA. In January of 1967, Sam enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Viet Nam. Following his honorable discharge, Sam lived and worked in the Pittsburg, PA., Minneapolis and St. Cloud areas. He enjoyed the outdoors.
He is survived by one daughter, Casey and three siblings, Rose, Mary Ann and William, all of the Pittsburg, Pennsylvania area.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Robert, Pete and John.
