Steven E. Meyer, age 36, of Little Canada, formerly of Willmar, died Saturday, November 5, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, November 11, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar. Interment will be in Cloverleaf Cemetery in Willmar. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Steven was born December 15, 1974 in Olivia, Minnesota, the son of Wayne and Sharlene (Van Den Berge) Meyer. He was baptized at Cross of Calvary Lutheran Church in Olivia. The family later moved to Willmar and Steven attended Willmar Public Schools, where he was involved with the Gifted and Talented Program, orchestra and choir. He was confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church and graduated from Willmar High School in 1993. In 1997, he married Jenny Hannah. In 2000, he moved to Plymouth and lived in the Twin Cities area since. He worked as a route driver for Lincoln Distribution and owned an internet business, The Locker Room Jersey Connection. He was also a certified personal trainer and loved sports.
Steven loved living in the Twin Cities. He always wanted to provide for his family. He will be remembered for his outgoing, charismatic personality and his great smile.
He is survived by his children: Austin Meyer of Plymouth and Taylor Meyer of Houston, TX; stepdaughter: Kara Nonweiler; parents: Wayne Meyer of St. Paul and Sharlene Meyer of Fargo, ND; brother: Shawn (and Kathy) Meyer of Eden Prairie; sister: Alison (and Vehid) Hajric of Moorhead; nephews: Liam Meyer and Aidin Hajric; niece: Jeannie Hurley; his girlfriend: Megan Betts; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; an uncle: Clinton Forbrook; and a cousin: Tonya Tonn.
