Steven Ralph Seybert, age 57, of Willmar, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, October 7, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, October 12, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home with visitation one hour before the service. Memorials to Rice Hospice are preferred.
Steven was born on January 14, 1950, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, the son of Ralph and Lois (Friede) Seybert. He graduated from Willmar High School in 1968 and attended the Willmar Vo-Tech for 2 years. In April of 1970, Steven was married to Delores Hardebeck and they lived in the Willmar area and later divorced. On July 10, 1987, he was married to Carol Doeskin and they lived in Willmar. Steven was employed at various jobs, most recently for 18 years at Gurly's Foods. He enjoyed fishing, camping, watching thunderstorms, singing and playing guitar in the band called Buffalo.
He is survived by one daughter, Jessica (and Terry) Gibbs-Dieterle of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren, Elly, Abigail and Maxwell Gibbs; his parents, Ralph and Lois Seybert of Willmar; one brother, Michael (and Michelle) Seybert of Marionville, Missouri; three stepdaughters, Lanae (and Joe) Gimse of Willmar, Rita (and Gerry) Gigstad of Sacred Heart and Dawn (and Curtis) Santjer of Chanhassen, besides other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol in January of 2002 and his grandparents.
