Susan A. Jordahl, age 81, of Willmar, died Sunday morning, April 2, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 7, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar. The interment will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, April 7, at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. on Thursday at Peterson Brother Funeral in Willmar and will continue for one hour prior to the services at the church. www.petersonbrothers.com

Susan Annette Jordahl was born on March 27, 1936, in Danvers, Minnesota, the daughter of Leo and Bernice (Mitchell) Hennessy. She grew up in the Danvers community, graduated from Benson High School in 1954 and from the General Hospital School of X-Ray Technology in 1955. She was employed at the Willmar Clinic (now known as ACMC) for over 42 years, retiring in 1997. On July 3, 1958, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd, Minnesota, Susan was united in marriage to Dennis Jordahl and they made their home in Willmar. She was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church, serving on the altar guild for many years. Susan enjoyed hardanger work and made many beautiful pieces large and small. She made sure all her nieces, nephews and many friends were gifted with her work. Susan also enjoyed knitting, embroidery, gardening, making sauerkraut, jams and lefse. Susan and Dennis traveled together to Europe, Hawaii and throughout the lower 48 states.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis; three sisters, Beatrice Pearson of Hancock, Beverly Pearson of Glenwood and Marian (and Jerry) Johnson of Watertown; one brother, George Hennessy of Melbourne, FL., a brother-in-law, Robert Walquist; and a sister-in-law, Carol Barrett of Ortonville, besides other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Lenore Nissen, Norma Jean Walquist and a sister in infancy; one sister-in-law, Jo Hennessy and four brothers-in-law, Glenn Nissen, Alfred Pearson, Harold Pearson and Robert Barrett.
