Thomas A. Jackson, age 47, of Atwater, died Saturday evening, May 10, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, at the Rosendale United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday with a 7 p.m. prayer service at the Atwater Funeral Home.
Thomas Allen Jackson was born February 14, 1961, in Litchfield, the son of Glenn and Geraldine (Peterson) Jackson. He grew up in the rural Atwater community, was baptized and confirmed at Rosendale United Methodist Church, and graduated from Atwater High School in 1979. He worked on the family farm and later at Leader's Manufacturing in Willmar. He enjoyed four-wheeling and gardening. He also loved to spend time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Jackson of Atwater; four sisters, Diane (and Patrick) Shoutz of Rosendale, Sandra Jackson of Lake Lillian, Nancy Jackson (and Joe Mata) of Lake Lillian and Donna (and Duane) Denny of Atwater; his nieces and nephews; his great-nieces and great-nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Jackson and two brothers, Ronald Jackson and James "Herman" Jackson.
