Thomas Juni

January 5, 1957 — December 13, 2017

Thomas A. Juni, age 60, of Willmar, died peacefully Wednesday evening, Dec. 13, at Rice Therapy Suites in Willmar after a brief illness stemming from lifelong chronic conditions.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, at the Word of Faith Church in Willmar.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21, at the Word of Faith Church and will also continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.  Interment will be at Spirit Hill Cemetery in Jordan.  In lieu of flowers you can donate to the continuation of the printing of Tom's Gospel tract "86,400." Tom's family would like to keep an abundant supply of these tracts available at Word of Faith Family Church in Willmar so the tract can continue to be distributed all over the world.

Thomas Arthur Juni was born on January 5, 1957, in Mankato, Minnesota, the son of Robert and Amy (Leibbrand) Juni.  He grew up in New Ulm and Benson and graduated from Benson High School in 1975.  Tom attended St. Cloud State University, St. John's University, the College of St. Benedict, and Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Tom shared 13 years of marriage and two wonderful sons with Connie Vetter.  He was employed for many years in retail and was most recently the apartment manager for Juni Properties.  If the Olympics had a recycling competition, apartment division, Tom would have been a multiple gold medal winner.

Tom never met a stranger. He could make anyone feel comfortable, and meet them where they were. No one had to ask for help twice, no matter the issue. Tom was a passionate Soul-Winner; he could approach men twice his size, and bring them the Word. Tom was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, and a skillful "car guy": he enjoyed collecting vintage toy cars and trucks, and advising on all aspects of vehicle maintenance.

He is survived by his two sons, Joel (and Jennifer) Juni of Detroit Lakes and Jonathan Juni (and Anna Hanson) of Richfield; two grandsons, Andrew and Cason Juni; his mother, Amy Juni of Jordan; two sisters, Carol (and Greg) Buckingham of Plymouth and Robin Juni (and David Miller) of Alexandria, VA.; two nieces, Carly Buckingham of Brooklyn, NY and Alexa Buckingham (and Kaleb Parker) of Chicago, IL.; his aunts and uncles, Faye Leibbrand of Jordan and Wil and Eleanor Leibbrand of Hastings, in addition to cousins, other relatives, friends, and his church family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Juni, in 2010, and by his uncles, Chuck Juni and Ralph Pasquarette.
