Thomas Renteria

Thomas R. Renteria, age 47, of Willmar, died Wednesday, February 12.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 17, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. Interment will be at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar (www.petersonbrothers.com).

Thomas Randolph Renteria was born on February 15, 1966, in Willmar, Minnesota, the son of Raul and Carmen (Quiroz) Renteria. He grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1984. On February 2, 1991, Thomas was united in marriage to Michelle Niemeyer and they made their home in Willmar. He was employed at Jennie-O Foods for many years.

Thomas's hobbies included fishing, woodworking, collecting antiques and sports. He cherished family time at the cabin, fishing trips with his buddies up north, finding treasures at garage sales and sharing movies and music with his sons.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle of Willmar; two sons, Jaydon and Jacob of Willmar; his mother, Carmen Renteria of Willmar and one sister, Gina Renteria of San Francisco, CA., besides other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raul in 2012.
