Thomas Swenson

Thomas V. Swenson age 50, of St. Louis Park formerly of Atwater, died unexpectedly Monday evening, October 10, at his home in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.
Memorial service will be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, October 15, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Atwater. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with the Peterson Brothers Atwater Funeral Home in Atwater, Minnesota.
Thomas Vinton Swenson was born on November 13, 1965 in Willmar, Minnesota the son of Donald M. and Blanche M. (Calvin) Swenson. He grew up and received his education in Atwater, graduating from Atwater High School in 1984. Tom continued his education at St. Cloud State, Willmar Community College and completed his BS degree at the University of Minnesota. He has lived and worked in the Twin Cities since his graduation and for the last 20 years he was employed at the Alternative Business Furniture Company. Tom was an avid Minnesota sports fan and a great supporter of his nephews in all their activities. His family and his family at work were very important to him.
He is survived by his mother Blanche Swenson of Atwater and two sisters; Brenda (and Jim) Landes of Burnsville and Deirdre (and Allan) Burgess of Hastings. Also surviving are four nephews; Marc (and Erin) Landes of Richfield, Cory Landes of Burnsville, Jerad Burgess of Edmond, OK and Kyle Burgess of Sartell, one great nephew Keagan Burgess of Edmond , OK and his A.B.F. family, besides other relatives and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his father Donald Swenson, his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
