Timothy John "Tiny" Peterson, age 51, of Willmar, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, September 1, at the Cottage Grove Resort on Lake Andrew near Alexandria. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, September 4, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Lynd City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. on Thursday, September 3, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the fuernal home.
Tiny was born on September 13, 1957, in Willmar, Minnesota, the son of Harold and Karen (Vogt) Peterson. He grew up in the Willmar community and graduated from Willmar High School in 1975. He was employed at Clare Paint and Glass for several years. From 1982 to 1992, he owned and operated Tiny's Bait and Tackle in Willmar. He then was employed for 15 years as the Assistant Manager at the Blue Heron on the Green. Tiny was most recently employed at Westside Liquors in Willmar. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and being with his family and friends. Tiny was also an avid Minnesota Vikings Fan.
He is survived by his four siblings, Rick (and Mary) Peterson of Willmar, Missy Goodall of Atwater, Jeff Miller of Willmar and Travis Chekel, besides several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
