Travis Kenton Larsen

Travis K. Larsen, age 34, of Willmar, passed away Wednesday morning, March 23, at Camp Ripley Training Center near Little Falls.

 

A celebration of Travis’s life will be from 1-3 p.m. followed by military honors on Sunday, April 3, at the V.F.W. Post #1639 in Willmar.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.  Arrangements are entrusted to Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.  www.petersonbrothers.com

 

Travis Kenton Larsen was born on January 22, 1988, in Granite Falls, Minnesota, the son of Kallyn and Anna Mae (Radunz) Larsen.  He grew up in Renville and graduated from RCW High School in 2006.  In 2007, Travis enlisted in the Minnesota National Guard and served a tour in Iraq.  He was employed for a time as a mechanic and later at West Central Steel in Willmar.  On June 15, 2012, Travis was united in marriage to Esmeralda Vazquez and they made their home in Willmar.  He enjoyed playing video games, hands-on mechanical repairs and spending time with his family and friends.  Travis was a current member of the MN National Guard and served as a SGT with the 682nd Battalion Division.

 

He is survived by his loving wife, Esmeralda and their three children, Isaac, Rocio and Evan, all of Willmar.  Also surviving are his parents, Kallyn and Anna Mae Larsen of Renville; two siblings, Jason Larsen of Willmar and Nicole Larsen of Renville, and his paternal grandmother, Delores Larsen of Sacred Heart, besides other relatives and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and his paternal grandfather.
