Ulala Whyte, age 93, of Willmar, died Friday morning, October 27, at Bethesda Grand Nursing Home in Willmar with the knowledge that Christ is her Savior.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 29, at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery in Willmar. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.
Ulala Pearl Whyte was born July 31, 1924, on the family farm near Gem, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence and Pearl (Ryckman) McKee. She attended school in Colby, Kansas. When she was 10 years old, her family moved to Long Beach, California, where she finished school. She then attended the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, graduating in 1946. On December 17, 1950, she married Marvin "Bill" Whyte, Jr. and they made their home in LaCrescenta, California. Ulala worked 29 years in accounting and plant services at Pacific Bell Telephone Company. Bill died in 2005 and Ulala moved to Willmar, Minnesota in 2006.
Ulala enjoyed traveling, reading, music, and visiting with people. She knew Jesus Christ as her Savior.
