Veronica "Bonnie" A. (Stahl) Lindquist, age 84, of Willmar, died peacefully Saturday, September 27, at Bethesda Pleasant View Nursing Home in Willmar.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 1, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery near Blomkest. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, September 30 at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar with a 7 p.m. Daughters of Isabella Rosary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
She was born December 25, 1929, to Edmund G. and Mary (Smiley) Stahl in Roseland Township, MN. She attended St. Aloysius Catholic School in Olivia, MN and Ind. School District #64 in Blomkest, MN, and graduated from Olivia High School in 1948. Bonnie worked at the Blomkest Store until she married Arland L. Lindquist June 25, 1949 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia, MN. They lived and farmed near Blomkest and Bonnie was a stay-at-home mother until the children were all in school. They moved to Willmar in 1981. Bonnie worked for a short time at Wonderalls in Willmar before beginning a career at the Willmar Regional Treatment Center. She retired in 1992 after 23 years of service.
While living on the farm, the family was members of the St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Lake Lillian where she was a member of the choir. When they moved to Willmar, she attended St. Mary's Catholic Church where she served as an Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Communion, member of the choir and Hospitality Minister. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 65 years; Arland, seven children: Katherine (Raymond) Baisch of Lee's Summit, MO, Dennis Lindquist of Medford OR, JoAnne (Joseph) Pedersen of Murdock, MN, Scott (Peggie) Lindquist of Maple Grove, MN, Nancy Lindquist of Warrenton, VA, Patrick (Karla) Lindquist of Lake Park, MN, and Andrew Lindquist of Big Lake, MN; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nine brothers and sisters, Dave (Bette) Stahl, Edmund "Buck" (Carol) Stahl, Mary Liebl, John (Kathy Kelly) Stahl, Francis (Barb) Stahl, Peggy Stahl, Joan (Larry) Anderson, Ann (Bob) Tomporowski, and Trish Davis (Larry Christ); and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, LeRoy L. Lindquist; her sister, Trudy Raboin; and her brother, Mark Stahl.
