Violet V. Klucas, age 83, of Willmar, passed away Saturday morning, August 27, at Carris Health Rice Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday. www.petersonbrothers.com
Violet Verona Klucas was born on August 1, 1939, in Lake Lillian, Minnesota, the daughter of Vernon and Verona (Bratsch) Beckler. She grew up in the Lake Lillian community and graduated from Cosmos High School in 1957. On October 19, 1959, Violet was united in marriage to Clarence “Cal” “Kelly” Klucas. They made their home in Willmar and were blessed with one son, David. Violet worked in the food service department at the Willmar Public Schools for several years before becoming a waitress and working for many years at Hazel’s Café and at CashWise Deli. She was also employed at Bethesda Homes working for the adult day care program. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and was active in the church guild. She enjoyed attending garage sales, collecting and fixing dolls, antiques and traveling. Violet also enjoyed the companionship of many cats through the years.
She is survived by one sister, Janet (and Larry) Grafenstein of Bird Island and one brother, Dale Beckler of Lake Lillian, besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence in July of 2022; and her son, David in July of 2020.
