C.W. "Wilco" Pontvuyst, age 46, of Almere, the Netherlands, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 20, 2015, in rural Willmar.
A private service was held before the family returned to the Netherlands.
Cornelis Willem "Wilco" Pontvuyst was born July 5, 1969, in Sijbekarspel, the Netherlands, to Willem Cornelis Pontvuyst and Annie Miedema. He was a foreign exchange student at Willmar Senior High School during the 1987-1988 school year and graduated with the Class of 1988.
Wilco is survived by his wife, Marielle; two sons, Marek and Joran; a daughter, Lauren; his parents, Willem and Annie of the Netherlands; a sister, Astrid (and Lars) of the Netherlands; his host family, Larry and Del Thiery of Willmar, Rick (and Jenny) Thiery of Alexandria, and Bryan (and Angela) Thiery of St. Michael; and other relatives and friends.
